When configuring ExtremeZ-IP and ArchiveConnect to work with CommVault archives, there are 2 specific registry configurations that need to be made.
1) In the ExtremeZ-IP registry: “ServerUsesRelativeHandles” should be set to 0.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\ExtremeZ-IP\Parameters4\Refreshable\ServerUsesRelativeHandles
After making this registry change, go to the ExtremeZ-IP Administrator, click the Settings button, and click the “Refresh Registry” button to have this change take effect.
2) In the CommVault registry: “GXHSM_IGNORE_ALT_STREAM_RECALLS” needs to be set to ‘Y’.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CommVault Systems\Galaxy\Instance001\WinFSDataMigrator\ GXHSM_IGNORE_ALT_STREAM_RECALLS
This change requires that you restart the CommVault services to take effect.
