Question:

Will the new Daylight Saving Time schedule cause any issues with MassTransit or ExtremeZ-IP?

Answer:

We do not make any assumptions as to when the Daylight Savings Time shift will occur in either MassTransit or ExtremeZ-IP. As long as the underlying Operating System properly accounts for the earlier DST shift date this year, our applications will behave in the same way as they would in any other transition to Daylight Savings Time.

  • Mac OS X recognizes the earlier DST shift date this year as of 10.4.5. See http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305056 for more information.
  • Windows requires several updates applied in order to account for the earlier DST shift date; the update procedures are described in detail here: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/dst_overview
