Summary:

Action based email notifications generated by MassTransit 4.1 and earlier may mis-report the time-of-day.

Description:

Versions of MassTransit prior to 4.1.2 had reported the local time differential according to the RFC 822 Standard Format of ARPA Internet Text Messages. Depending on a number of conditions, including locality of MassTransit server and mail server used, email messages generated via MassTransit may contain invalid time-of-day stamps.

MassTransit versions 4.1.2 and later report the local time differential according to the RFC 2822 Standard Format of ARPA Internet Text Messages. In this format, a ‘+’ or a ‘-‘ character precedes the local time offset, indicating whether the time of day is ahead of, or behind the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) or “Greenwich Mean Time.”

Further information on RFC 2822, the new Standard Format of ARPA Internet Text Messages may be found at the URL listed below.
