MassTransit Log Fails to Display Any Activity

Summary:

From within the MassTransit interface, the MassTransit Log appears to not contain any data.

Description:

In rare cases, the Log window in MassTransit may appear to not contain any data. To repair the log function we recommend the following course of action:

  1. Quit MassTransit
  2. Navigate to the installation directory of MassTransit
  3. Locate the Databases folder and make a copy of it to another location.
  4. Open the Databases folder.
  5. Confirm the existence of two files dlog.dat and dlog.idx.
  6. Delete both these files from the original Databases folder.
  7. Re-start MassTransit, establish a few test connections and confirm that the Log is now correctly logging file transfers.
